New Procreate Brushes! Watercolor Doodles and Abstract Art :)

Over the last few years I’ve fallen in love with painting abstract watercolor shapes and doodles on my iPad. There’s something really calming about it, and it’s helped me stay creative without the pressure of always creating the perfect piece of art.

One of the things that was missing was having the perfect Procreate brushes. I wanted to have a set of brushes that allowed me to create watercolor shapes with all the watercolor characteristics and textures without needing to use stamp brushes.

And so I made them :)

The most important thing for me was the feeling I get when using the brushes.

Yes of course the results matter too, but you can get almost the same result from pretty much any brush set if you put enough time and energy into it. But then it becomes a grind and is not as much fun anymore.

I wanted to get that satisfying feeling from the first brush stroke to the point where I just wanted to sit on the couch all night and keep painting because it’s so much fun.

And that’s what happened! I’ve created probably a thousand brushes to find the ones I couldn’t get away from, and ended up with a set of 24. That’s enough brushes to have a nice variety, but not so many to feel overwhelmed when having to make a decision which one to start with.

To help you get that same feel, I’ve made painting practice sheets for the first time ever! They will help you get the most out of the new brushes and provide a nice fun exercise.

The set also comes with 5 different textured pre-made canvases in 3 sizes each and 4 color palettes.
